The personal electronics market has recently expanded to include one of its newest categories: augmented reality. However, this is largely because, when evaluating conventional monitors, we are accustomed to relying on PPI, which relates resolution to display size. For augmented reality devices, another parameter plays a key role: PPD (pixels per degree), which takes into account not only pixel density but also the distance from the display, providing a better indication of how the image is perceived directly by the human eye.
